Hi! My name is Lorna Stierle. I am a mom of four children ranging from 12 to 23 years old. For two years I was also a foster mom. Now I have the privilege of being “mom in love” to a wonderful son-in-law and daughter-in-law. I have experienced the joy of natural childbirth in a hospital and at home as well as the jarring transition from home birth to an emergency c-section in the hospital. After the birth of my second child, I struggled with postpartum depression and emerged gratefully into the sweet (though sometimes chaotic) season of mothering a baby and toddler. In my last pregnancy I experienced the loss and medical complications of a late first-trimester miscarriage. I have walked alongside dear friends who experienced years of infertility–some of whom were eventually able to have children, and others were not. I have learned from an attentive mom and mother-in-law and the many strong, compassionate and resilient moms that I have known along the way. From the incredible gifts of all of these experiences, I desire to support mothers of newborns in whatever capacity I am able.
